What isLOSWIFT™ Lactulose?
Prebiotic Power, Gentle Care
Lactulose is produced by the isomerization of lactose under alkaline conditions. The functional component is LOSWIFT™ Lactulose, also known as lactose sugar or galactofructose. Currently commercially available lactulose solution contains over 50% lactulose, approximately 30% moisture, and the remaining components are residual lactose and decomposition products such as fructose and galactose.
It has been widely used in the clinical treatment of constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. In recent years, it has been developed for various applications in the food field. As a prebiotic, lactulose's physiological functions and value as a food additive are increasingly valued.
